Good food a bit pricey

I absolutely love this place. The food is wonderful and the sushi is always fresh and beautifully presented.

Great place for a dining experience. You get a lot of food and the staff is very friendly. I gave 4 stars because my seafood was overcooked but it was still delicious.

Great food and fun

The food is consistently excellent. The filet mignon is particularly delicious and I've never had better fried rice. It is $$$, but always a nice treat.

The food here is always good. My husband and I come here frequently and it has never let us down in years. Now we bring our son a lot and he loves it. very kid friendly and it is great place for kids. they are also very good at customizing your order since the chefs cook it in front of you you can tell them what you like and don't like. the filet mignon is always cooked to perfection and I find that the scallops are always cooked well to. highly recommend this restaurant for family and special occasions

The sushi here is the same quality you get at a grocery store: not very good. There are better places to eat sushi in Charlottesville. The food is not authentic Japanese. This is a chain. Good for big groups and for children, but steer clear if you want something gourmet.

Ugh. Way too pricey for tons of rice and small strips of overcooked meat smothered in enough sauces to disguise any real flavor.

Wow were they busy on a Saturday night but we were in and out after a fantastic meal in 80 minutes total with a 7 or 8 minute wait. Such good food and always entertaining! Yummm!

This place was amazing. First off you totally get your money's worth of food. Come hungry. I didnt catch our chef's name but he was an amazing chef and kid friendly too. Highly recommend. Will absolutely be returning.

Servers wear kimonos and it appears that most of the workers are Japanese. The is a contemporary Japanese feel to the decor. It's also kid friendly. They serve the kids drinks with a paper flower and have kids chopsticks that r easy for them to use and they can take home and reuse after washing. Recommended

Restaurant itself is magnificent. Well set and cleaned, beautifully decorated. Staff is generally helpful but most seem a little short tempered. Sushi chef was very kind and answered questions about the meal. The sushi was phenomenal and well made, definitely delicious and worth 5 stars. Service more like 4, though.

Brilliant fantastic awesome marvelous place. Undeniably. The cook right in front of you conjuring a wonderful feast before the eyes. However, it may scare the children unless too were a pyromaniac like I was. 🔥

Way over rated. Food is pricey and pretty much tasteless. The entertainment, which after seeing a few times is boring, is the most positive aspect.

Food is excellent and fresh. Cooked right in front of you so you know the food was handled with caution.

Sakura has a great atmosphere, you can eat at hibachi tables and also order sushi from the sushi bar. The portion size is quite large for the price! The sushi rolls are well made, fresh, and flavorful. Good selection of beer and interesting looking cocktail list (although I didn't try any).

A little pricey but worth it fun and the drinks option are slim but very taste. Love the fried rice and yum yum sauce. Very friendly staff.

Family Christmas dinner was excellent.

Well I am enjoying a ninja bloody mary, some sushi rolls which were delicious, I am waiting for the main course....shrimp and scallops, cooked in front of us. They put on quite a show. Truly enjoyed my Sunday afternoon.

Everything from the beginning until we (7) left was great. A 7 year old child was in our group and the chef performed fantastically and all enjoyed the food and his cooking methods, including the child. A little pricey but the servings were well worth it. I will go again.

Another outstanding dinner at Sakura. I’m a regular here and always come for the sushi. The staff is attentive and I never get a bad meal. It can be a little noisy at times because there are quite a few hibachi tables, which are very popular. Highly recommend this place. It serves the best sushi in Charlottesville by far!

Took the ladies from work here and Sakura didn't disappoint. Great time great food

Have been the last 2 years for company dinner and always good

Fun place to go for dinner but I think they are getting blase qith the sakura side of things. Soup was overly salty, salad dressing just tasted old and even many years later same jokes and chef skills. Very plentiful main courses and tasty overall. I can get 3 meals out of one dinner. Wish they had an area where you could just order off menu for a fresh meal without the show. They do have an awesome sushi area.

Always fun & entertaining! Great place for a date or birthday. The food is always fresh and cooked right in front of you on the table like any typical teppanyaki restaurant. The service is attentive and they have a sushi bar.

Delicious and fun! Just remember to talk to kids about the fire first and to have a camera on their reactions!

Food is good and they presentation is the beat part when they cook it in front of you. Quantity of meals is also huge, you will likely be bringing leftovers home.

Good food but the grease smell did me in pretty quick

It was Okay, I've had better. Flambe Shrimp tasted burned, I asked for middle ribeye, I got middle well. They did cook me another steak just as I requested. Show was Awesome. Appearance and atmosphere was Great!! But for $85 for 1 adult and 1 pre-teen and 1 child WAY OVER Priced!!

Salty, headache inducing, americanized asian food. The sushi was decent and the wait staff are pleasant but the food is not so good in my humble opinion. Literally gave everyone in my group a headache.
